As I’m sure many of you have heard, Senator Lois Court (SD31) has decided not to run for re-election after the 2020 session. I am grateful for her many years of service at the Capitol, as well as for her friendship and mentorship these past few years.
Given this vacancy, after many hours of deliberation with my family, friends, and colleagues, I am excited to announce that I have decided to enter the race for Senate District 31. I have been fortunate to represent you in House District 6 for the last three years and am looking forward to entering my fourth year in the Colorado House of Representatives this January. In the past three years, I have been able to utilize my background in environmental policy and economics to help put our state on a path toward a zero-carbon future, develop innovative funding solutions for our capital construction and transportation infrastructure needs, and help produce a balanced budget for our state. As Senator, I hope to continue my work on behalf of greater SE Denver and the state of Colorado. I enthusiastically look forward to this new opportunity, and I hope to earn your vote and support in this endeavor.

Thank you for the privilege of letting me serve you at the Capitol.
